The SES is made up of a wide diversity of people who regularly commit their time and energy, volunteering to assist their communities in times of flood, storms and other emergencies.

Volunteer

Kiama SES is currently seeking new members for both operations and field roles. These roles may include:

  • Air Search
  • Community Education
  • Land Search
  • Media
  • Road Crash Rescue
  • Storm Preparation and Response
  • Urban Search and Rescue (USAR)
  • Vertical Rescue

Operations members work in the local operations room during events supporting field members by processing, organising, prioritising and tasking jobs and organising resources.

Suitable for people of any age, ability and background. No experience necessary - all training is provided.

About our members

Click a name to read more about each member. Kiama SES travelled to Adelaide to compete in the National Disaster Rescue competition in 2011 after placing first in NSW. These profiles of the team were completed just prior to the competition.
